WHO team in Wuhan investigating COVID origins leaves quarantine

Written by on January 28, 2021

A World Health Organization-led team investigating the origin of COVID-19 today left a quarantined hotel in Wuhan to begin fieldwork.

The team had arrived at the Chinese city two weeks ago on a fact-finding mission on how the virus started.

The mission has been plagued by delays, concerns over access, and bickering between China and the United States.

Elsewhere, Britain will today review a list of countries affected by quarantine measures.

Senior Minister, Michael Gove, told BBC radio that the review will be guided by advice from scientific advisors.

This comes after Britain announced plans for some travelers to mandatorily self-isolate for ten days in hotels upon arrival.
