Tertiary institutions get deadline to conclude 2019 admission for UTME candidates

Public tertiary institutions have until December 19 this year to conclude admission processes for candidates of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Head of Media of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Fabian Benjamin, who dropped the notification in an electronic mail to newsmen, said February 15, 2020, was fixed for private institutions to round off the processes.
Benjamin explained that the deadlines for admission were not a sole decision of the Board but reached by consensus of all stakeholders, including the representatives of all the tertiary institutions.
Acknowledging the compliance of the country’s tertiary institutions with the directive, Benjamin said already, two hundred thousand out of the one point eight million candidates of the 2019 UTME have gained admission into universities.
