Smart Adeyemi sworn in to replace Dino Melaye in Senate

Senator Smart Adeyemi is now officially a member of the Eight Senate and is to represent Kogi West Senatorial District.
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, swore him into office at today’s plenary
Adeyemi defeated Senator Dino Melaye at last Saturday’s re-run conducted in the district by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
With his swearing-in, the All Progressives Congress now has sixty three Senators in the Upper chamber, with the Peoples’ Democratic Party forty six and Young Democratic Party having one member.
