Senate Gives Deadline for Submission of Evidence on DSS re-arrest of Omoleye Sowore

The Department of State Services, the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and Femi Falana, counsel to Omoyele Sowore, have till the end of today to submit their testimonies on the detained activist

Chairman, Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele said the memoranda are expected today at the committee secretariat at the National Assembly.

Others are the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Barrister Tony Ojukwu, Chief Judge of the Federal High Court and the presiding Judge at the time of the court invasion, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu.

Bamidele said the panel was unable to proceed with the scheduled investigative hearing after the Senate had suspended all activities in honour of Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu who died in Abuja, Wednesday.
