RIVERS
One hundred and twenty arms have been recovered from thirteen Local Government Areas of Rivers state by the Police.
Spokesman of Rivers State Police Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, said the arms were recovered through the ongoing mop-up exercise, which would last for two weeks.
DSP Omoni explained that the State Command is taking a sensitization programme on submission of both legal and illegal arms to all twenty-three Local Government Areas in the Rivers.
He re-emphasized that anyone who failed to take advantage of the twenty one days window created by the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, would have himself to blame.
