Federal government has been counting its gains since the closure of her Land border.
In the latest report, President Muhammadu Buhari said the country’s domestic fuel consumption had dropped by more than thirty per cent since the border closure.
Buhari, who is Nigeria’s substantive oil minister, made the remark when he received a delegation of Katsina State Elders Forum in his country home in Daura, Katsina State.
The President said before the border closure, Nigeria’s daily fuel consumption was estimated at sixty one million litres per day, from fifty three million recorded in 2018 by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency.
He said that the closure would remain until the situation improves.
