Federal government has assured the thirty six states of the country of its readiness to support them “without discrimination along party lines”.
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, made the commitment in Umuahia at the inauguration of the state’s Tele-health initiative, which he described as commendable effort in the healthcare delivery system in the state.
The Vice President said that in line with the decision, the federal government had so far supported states to the tune of one point ninety one trillion naira.
He described the gesture as a clear departure from the primordial practice, where past administrations at the centre limited their assistance to states ruled by the party at the centre.
