Ogun State Commissioner for Environment suspended over alleged sexual harassment of teenager.

Ogun State Commissioner for Environment, Abiodun Abudu-Balogun, has been suspended pending the conclusion of an investigation into the alleged sexual harassment of a sixteen-year-old girl, Barakat Melojuekun.

A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, explained that the suspension was to enable the commissioner to cooperate with the police investigation.

The State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department have taken over the investigation of the sexual harassment allegation against the Commissioner.

The teenager had in a viral video alleged that Abudu- Balogun sexually harassed her when she visited him while looking for a job.

Police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, told newsmen that the outcome of the investigation would be made known to the public at the appropriate time.
