NLC

It’s been forty years of existence and “Aluta Continua” for the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.

The Union has turned to God, seeking divine intervention on the challenges facing Nigerian workers.

NLC President, Comrade Abubakar Wabba, yesterday led other labour leaders, including veterans, to a thanksgiving service in Abuja, as part of activities marking the Union’s 40th anniversary.

He explained that the state of the Nigerian worker and the insensitivity of employers, especially government, made it the workers seek divine intervention.

Restating the need for decent jobs and work environment for Nigerians, Wabba said the clamour for improved welfare for Nigerian workers cannot be overemphasized.

The Union appreciated God for the journey in the past forty years, including the travails faced and successes recorded.
