Nigeria’s pension fund assets hits nine point five-eight trillion naira.

Nigeria’s Contributory Pension Scheme now has eight point eight-five million people registered under it, as at September 2019.

Acting Commissioner of the National Pension Commission, Aisha DahirUmar, who confirmed this figure at a workshop in Benin City, said pension fund assets stands at nine point five-eight trillion naira.

DahirUma, who was represented by Head Micro Pension Department, Kunle Odebiyi, said the growth is a pointer to the prioritization of safety of pension funds as the bedrock of sustaining the Contributory Pension Scheme.

Notwithstanding the feat, she said the Commission and pension operators were committed to actualizing the growth potentials of the pension industry.
