More Nigerians in South Africa register for evacuation

Written by on September 18, 2019

More Nigerians living in South Africa have continued to voluntarily register for their evacuation back home, with the number increasing to one thousand and four.

This was confirmed by the Consul-General, Nigerian High Commission in South Africa, Godwin Adama, following the evacuation of the first set of one hundred and eighty seven returnees last week.

Adama told newsmen that three hundred and twenty Nigerians earlier scheduled for evacuation yesterday, would now be leaving South Africa today, assuring that the technical issues faced during the first evacuation were being addressed.

He however complained that some individuals, who registered for evacuation, failed to show up.
