Melaye, Adeyemi to know fate in hours for Kogi West Senatorial District seat.

Low turnout of voters in today’s Kogi West Senatorial District supplementary election has been blamed on poor mobilisation by the political parties involved.
Kogi Resident Electoral Commissioner, Professor James Apam, mentioned this against the backdrop of voters apathy observed in several polling units in wards in Kabba, Mopa Moro and Lokoja areas of the state.
Reports reaching Comfort FM shows that despite poor turn-out of voters, the exercise was however peaceful in Lokoja and other areas of Kogi West, unlike the violence recorded on November 16.
Meanwhile, with polling stations now closed, attention has shifted to the collation centres of each of the local government, as sorting and counting of votes have ended.
