Lekki Shooting: Tinubu condemns attack on peaceful protesters by security operatives

Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, is proposing that revenue from the Lekki tollgate, Lagos State, be donated to victims of the #EndSARS protest shootings.

In a statement, Tinubu also asked that other identifiable victims of police brutality in the state should benefit from the proceeds.

He absolved himself from allegations of ordering the deployment of soldiers against peaceful protesters at Lekki toll plaza on October 20.

Tinubu refuted claims that he owned the Lekki toll gate concession, saying the toll gate was a public asset in which he had no business interest.

He insisted that the present situation in the country did not profit him politically or otherwise.
