Lawyers March To NASS, As Judiciary Workers Begin Nationwide Protest

Members of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA,  today in Lagos State and Abuja protested against the non-implementation of financial autonomy for the judiciary.

This is coming after members of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria went on strike and threatened a nationwide protest.

National President of NBA, Olumide Akpata, had asked all state branches to stage a protest every Monday beginning today.

During the protest in Lagos, the lawyers displayed placards with various inscriptions as they marched from Ikeja Bar Centre through Oba Akinjobi, into Obafemi Awolowo Way towards the Alausa secretariat.
