Labour not responsible for implementation delay — Wabba

President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, comrade Ayuba Wabba has dispelled the allegation that labour is responsible for the delay in implementation of the new national Minimum wage.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, Wabba explained that “TUC and NLC were not directly driving the process of consequential adjustment as according to him, the process was ongoing.

He expressed workers concerns over the delay in the new pay which was signed into law by the president Muhammadu Buhari since April 2019.

The NLC chairman gave an assurance that “Labour would work assiduously with all state councils to ensure that no worker was short changed in any state.
