The Independent National Electoral Commission has approved the promotion of over seven thousand members of staff across all cadres

Chief Press Secretary to INEC chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi,
said three hundred and twenty-six staff constituting six-point-one percent, failed or absconded from the promotion examination, while ninety-two others on interdiction, representing one-point-seven percent, could not write the test.

According to Oyekanmi, INEC approved the promotion of four thousand, nine hundred and seventeen senior officers who were successful in the promotion exercise conducted at the commission’s headquarters and state offices.
