A two-week medical outreach by the Nigerian Air Force is underway for Internally Displaced Persons in Maiduguri and Damboa, both of Borno State.

Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya, who made this known, said the medical intervention in continuation of efforts at alleviating the plights of Internally Displaced Persons in the Northeast and other parts of the country.

Adesanya said the outreach which also involves surgical interventions for those with complicated and critical health challenges, is aimed at enhancing civil-military relations, as part of ‘winning the hearts and minds’ strategy of the Nigerian Air Force.

The PRO noted that the team has so far provided free medical treatment to one thousand, two hundred and seventy-two IDPs at Damboa, with more IDPs to be covered.
