Governor Umo Eno Felicitates First Love Assembly on 25th Anniversary.

Awa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has felicitated the Serving Overseer, Pastor Simeon Afolabi and members of First Love Assembly as they mark 25th Anniversary.
In his message of felicitation at the grand finale of a 5-day convention commemorating the church’s anniversary, held at the church’s Headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, he described Pastor Afolabi as an amazing teacher of the gospel and father figure, whose counselling and guidance has been a pillar of support to his life and pastoral ministry.

Addressing the congregation, Governor Eno said he was in Rivers State to share fellowship with Pastor Afolabi and thanked Governor Siminalaye Fubara of Rivers State for a warm reception given him and his team.

He recounted his experience and God’s intervention in the ordeals of mudslinging and litigations that trailed his elections, noting that he will forever remain grateful to God, his predecessor and people of the State who stood by him during the trying times.

significance of the theme of the convention, “The Help of God,” likened the story of First Love Assembly’s rise to success to that of Joseph in Genesis 45:13, which evolved around stress, trials, opposition and ridicule, yet triumphed – due to an unyielding spirit.
He attributed the height the Church has attained in the past 25 years to God’s mercies and love.
