FIRE DISASTER

Property worth millions of naira were destroyed today as fire gutted a building located on Adesina Street, Akowonjo, Lagos. The building is believed to house a telecommunications office in the area.

Though the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, residents of the neighbourhood moved swiftly to put the fire out, working at it until men of the Lagos State Fire Service and Lagos State Emergency Management Agency arrived.

The fire was eventually put out by the emergency officials.
