Finance minister: Lecturers who are not on IPPIS won’t get February salary

Hard times await members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities who have not registered in the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System.

This is as the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning Minister, Zainab Ahmed, has said such persons would no longer get their salaries, with effect from February’s pay.

Speaking at the 2020 Management Retreat for Treasury Directors of Finance and Directors of Internal Audit in Kano, Ahmed noted that fifty-five percent of the varsity teachers’ have so far been enrolled in the IPPIS.

According to the minister, the IPPIS has helped in identifying more than seventy thousand ghost workers in the federal civil service
