There are plans by the federal government to review the wages of all political office holders in the country.
Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige dropped the hint when members of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees visited him in his office in Abuja.
The Labour minister also stressed that there was a need to review and streamline the wages earned by workers in certain government organizations.
He said the government had put up the Presidential Committee on Salaries headed by the Minister of Finance and co-chaired by him to carry out the review.
According to him, the committee would look at the wage structure of the public service after the ‘consequential adjustment’ being done presently.
