It is now operation “plant a tree” in China.
Chinese President, Xi Jinping, has called for efforts to build a green China, as he planted trees in Tongzhou, a suburb of Beijing.
Accompanied by top leaders and members of the public, Xi said it was important to uphold people-centered development while carrying out extensive land-greening programs.
He urged government officials to engage in voluntary tree planting and treat the ecological environment with care.
