Buhari, Southwest traditional rulers meet at Aso Rock, Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari today hosted several traditional rulers from the South West region of the country, at the State House, Abuja.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, who led the delegation of South West monarchs, said the meeting’s agenda was the security situation in the country.

The Ooni charged the president to partner all stakeholders including the traditional rulers in the country to flush out the bad eggs among the Fulani herdsmen, towards attaining peace.

The Royal father assured of the president’s commitment to secure the citizens in the country and appealed to politicians not to heat up the polity to prevent a breakdown of order.

Ooni Ogunwusi said it was important to ensure that things are right, adding that the President has given good directives to security chiefs including the Inspector-General of Police, to visit all traditional institutions in the South-West.
