Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has lauded the Super Eagles for beating Sudan by one goal to nothing, in the semi-final of the 2018 CHAN in Marrakesh, Morocco.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the President said he joined millions of football fans in the country in celebrating what he described as “the spectacular performance of the team”, who would face Morocco in the final on Sunday.
President Buhari said that having followed the team’s progress throughout the game with delight, their hard work, dedication, discipline and indomitable spirit, are commendable and worthy of emulation.
He urged the players and the coaching staff to remain focused and determined as they go for gold in the final match on Sunday and assured the team of the unflinching support, goodwill and prayers of the Federal Government and all Nigerians, as they soar to victory.
