Atiku VS Buhari: INEC Chairman Promises to Open up over Server Issues

Written by on July 8, 2019

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu, has promised to address the server controversy that trailed the 2019 general elections, after the verdict of the Presidential Elections Tribunal.

Yakubu, who spoke at the conclusion of a session on the review of the 2019 General Elections with the media in Abuja during the weekend, advised interested Nigerians to read the statements on oath by the petitioners and defendants, to have a full grasp of the issues surrounding the controversial server.

The INEC chief said he could not fully discuss the server controversy, as the country’s jurisprudence, did not allow parties in a case to comment on a live matter in court, but promised to discuss it and tender documents, as soon as the case was over in court.
