Akwa Ibom State Police Commissioner records Impressive Results since resumption

One month after assuming office, Akwa Ibom State Police Commissioner, Zaki Ahmad is said to have recorded impressive results in fighting criminality in the state.

One of these feats is the successful rescue of a kidnapped expatriate, and a staff with Zenith Construction Company, in Mbiaya Uruan, Gassan Naser who was abducted on April 30, 2019.

The rescued expatriate, Gassan Nasser, who said he was fed with banana and small bread by his abductors expressed appreciation to the police and Akwa Ibom State Government for his rescue

Presenting the expatriate to newsmen today at state police headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, the Police Public Relations Officer, Dsp Odiko Macdon attributed the success recorded in the state so far to the support of the state government, sister security  agencies and cooperation of the people.

He said three of those who kidnapped the expatriate died during the rescue while others were arrested and would soon be charged to court.
