This was the position of the President of the Nigeria Labor Congress, Ayuba Wabba, at a meeting of labor leaders with the leadership of the House of Representatives in Abuja
Wabba said the workers were asking the country to respect the International Labour Organization convention on minimum wage, to which Nigeria is a signatory.
Responding, the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, said the legislature would work for the good of the Nigerian workers, especially on a bill seeking to remove the minimum wage from the Exclusive to the Concurrent Legislative List.
