32nd Africa Cup of Nations begins in Egypt today

The best of African football will be on display starting from today as the thirty-second edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, organized by the Confederation of African Football kicks off today in Egypt.
The event, which is said to be the biggest soccer showpiece on the continent, will see football stars in Africa converge in four Egyptian cities of Cairo, Ismailia, Suez and Alexandria for twenty-nine days for one trophy.
Nigeria is amongst the twenty-four countries already in the land of the Pharaohs to battle for the top prize after CAF expanded the number of teams participating in the competition from initial sixteen to twenty four.
The host country, Egypt will slug it out with Zimbabwe by 9 o’clock this evening in the opening game of the tournament.
Nigeria, which is in Group B, will file out tomorrow against Burundi by 6pm tomorrow; Guinea on June 26 by half past three in the afternoon and Madagascar on June 30 by 5pm.
