UTME candidates to receive results this week via phones

Written by on April 22, 2019

If all goes as planned, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board will release results of this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination this week.

The Board in a statement signed by its Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, advised the candidates to calm down as provision has been made for them to check their results via mobile phones rather than go through a CBT centre or a cyber cafe.

Benjamin said the board is still screening the results for malpractices among the over one point eight candidates who took the examination, adding that candidates found to have cut corners, would have their results cancelled.

The 2019 UTME took place nationwide between April 11 and April 17 in six hundred and ninety eight CBT centres with reports of technical issues marring the process especially in Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory.
