U.S. President, Donald Trump, says he will discuss “reciprocal trade and investment ties” with Japan’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, during a visit billed for later this month.

White House Press Secretary, Sarah Sanders, who confirmed this, said both world leaders would meet at Trump’s Florida resort, on April 17 and 18.

Abe told newsmen that he hoped to visit the U.S to discuss Korean Peninsula issues with Trump.

Japan, one of the United States’ closest allies, has not been granted exemptions to the new U.S steel and aluminum tariffs.
