State Joint Public Service Negotiating Councils to open negotiations with governors on new minimum wage.

Details of yesterday’s meeting of the thirty six state councils of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council over the consequential adjustments of the new minimum wage have emerged.

State councils have been directed to open negotiations with state governments on the consequential adjustments arising from the new minimum wage of thirty thousand naira.

At the end of the meeting, Secretary, of the Council, Alade Lawal, said it was agreed that the Joint National Negotiating Council should send letters to state governments today to open negotiation on the consequential adjustments.

According to him, negotiations at the state level will start immediately after the receipt of the letter.
