REPS DEMAND SEPERATION OF ECOLOGICAL FUND FROM MONTHLY ALLOCATIONS TO STATE GOVERNMENT.

Written by on October 28, 2019

The House of Representatives is calling for the separation of ecological fund from federal allocations accruable to states.

Deputy Chief Whip of the House, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha who made the call said the suggestion became necessary to prevent governors from misappropriating the fund.

The lawmaker regretted that the Federal Government releases ecological funds to states monthly, which is lumped together in the federal allocations, yet governors rarely tackle ecological problems.

Onyejeocha said the national assembly would give a legislative backing to any executive bill for the separation of ecological fund from federal allocations to states.
