President Buhari arrives Imo State for the commissioning of projects

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Imo State for the commissioning of projects.

 

Buhari landed at the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri, the state capital and was received by state officials and other dignitaries.

 

Governor Hope Uzodinma had a few days back disclosed that Buhari would be visiting Imo to commission some  significant projects his government has executed

 

He also noted that Imo has gotten additional support from the President on the management of some ecological problems in the state.

 

Meanwhile, Imo state government have expressed optimism that President Muhammadu Buhari’s is visit would advance the socio-economic well-being of the people and the South-East at large.

 

State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, in his brief with journalists, said the visit of Mr. President will profit the people of the state and the entire geopolitical zone.

 

Emelumba said during the visit, President Buhari would inaugurate four projects in the state; Naze-Ihagwa–Nekede-Obinze Road, balloon technology-driven tunnel project, Egbeada Bypass, and Government House ultra-modern executive council chambers.

 

Also, the President-general of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, George Obiozor, says President Buhari’s visit to Imo State was an indication that he remains the father of the nation.

 

In a statement issued through the National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze, Alex Ogbonnia, Obiozor the Ohanaeze Ndigbo was not at odds with the planned visit of the President.

Meanwhile, Imo state police command has warned it called troublemakers and non-state actors to stay away from the state or risk the wrath of security operatives.

 

The warning followed the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra issuing a sit-at-home order in Imo and four other southeastern states in disapproval of the President’s visit.

 

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mike Abattam, the Police, and other sister agencies would be on the ground to deal with mischief-makers during and after the President’s visit.
