At least 74 people have been feared dead as a tropical storm swept through the southern Philippines, with dozens more missing.

Reports has that Two towns badly hit were Tubod and Piagapo, bringing flooding and mudslides to part of Mindanano Island where a number of homes have been buried

It further states that the winds rages up to 80km/h (50 mph), and cuts across Mindanao heading over the southern tip of Palawan before moving further west.

According to Tubod police officer Gerry Parami, rescuers have been sent to the scene of the incidence but they’re making little progress due to the rocks,”
