An upstream subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation known as the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company says it will grow its crude oil production to five hundred thousand barrels per day before 2022.

This target was announced in Abuja yesterday by the NNPC Group Managing Director, Maikanti Baru, in a statement by the Corporation’s spokesman Ndu Ughamadu.

Baru, who doubles as Chairman of the NPDC board said the company was currently supplying fifty percent of the West African Gas Pipeline system.

The Chairman added that it was the focus was to have more gas assets and commended the company for living up to expectations.
