Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel has assured of his commitment to equitably distribute development projects to all parts of the state.

The governor made this known today when he received the people of Oro Nation under the aegis of Oron Union who paid him a thank you visit for appointing one of their sons, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem as Secretary to State government.

The Governor said development of roads in Oron area of the state was imperative in view of its strategic importance to the economic well-being of the state.

He said the Oron beautification project was not halted but was technically handled to address flood challenges facing the area.

In their address read by the President-General, Oron Union, Mrs Janet Amba the people of Oron thanked the governor for appointing an indigene of the area, Dr Ekuwem as Secretary to State government.

By this token the people said the governor has demonstrated his fulfilled his quest for political inclusiveness of all areas in his administration, and therefore pledged their preparedness to partner the governor to succeed.

The visit is coming on the heels of a similar visit by the people of Ikot Ekpene senatorial district earlier in the year.
