Written by on September 4, 2019

Nigeria has boycotted the World Economic Forum on Africa 2019, which kicked off today in Cape Town, South Africa.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was expected to attend the conference, but would no longer do so as the relationship between the two countries remain under focus.

President Buhari’s aide on New Media, Bashir Ahmed, confirmed the development to newsmen.

By this move, Nigeria joins other African countries like Rwanda, Malawi and DR Congo to pull out of the Forum.
