Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has decried the lack of facilities in the Abuja National Stadium.
NFF Secretary-General, Mohammed Sanusi, the inadequate sports facilities made most national teams’ games to be played outside the Abuja National Stadium.

Due to the latest development, the female national teams have taken refuge at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, while the Super Eagles moved from the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo to the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.

According to Sanusi, various states had indicated interest in hosting the national teams.
The Secretary- General added that plans are underway to take the matches of the teams across the country, to enable Nigerians watch their national teams play live.
