The Wife of the governor, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel is among the thirty outsanding women of akwa Ibom to be honoured today by the state council of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalist, NAWOJ.
Known as an evening with the Amazons, the event which will take place this evening at the NUJ Press Cerntre, Information drive, uyo is in appreciation of the impressive strides recorded by the women in their various fields of endeavor.

The conferment of the awards, according to the statement, is part of activities marking the NAWOJ week which began yesterday with a thanksgiving service.
Other activities lined up for the week include public lecture, training for members, facility visits to projects executed by the state government and visits to prisons, destitute centres and schools.
