JAMB scraps use of email for UTME and Direct Entry registrations.

Written by on April 14, 2021

From tomorrow, email will no longer be required for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME and Direct Entry registration’s processes.

Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Ishaq Oloyede, made this known while addressing newsmen in Abuja.

Oloyede said email will only be requested at the successful completion of registration by candidates to access information on the examination.

He advised the candidates to download the Mobile APP on their phones to access their profile during or after registration.

The Registrar said the new system was to ensure candidates’ information were not exposed to dubious cyber cafe operators and other criminal elements, who in the course of registration, stole email passwords to perpetrate fraud.
