Former Somalia President Ali Muhammad is dead

Former President of Somalia, Ali Mahdi Muhammad, has passed away.
Ministry of Information spokesperson, Isamel Mukhtaar Omar confirmed that Muhammad died in Nairobi, Kenya.
A three-day mourning period has been declared even as the government has appointed a National Funeral Committee.
Muhammad, 82, was the fourth President of Somalia from January 26, 1991, until January 1997.
The native of Mahaday District of the Middle Shabelle became a member of parliament in 1968.
