Dino Melaye rejects Campaign DG position

Defeated Kogi state governorship aspirant, Dino Melaye, has turned down his appointment as the Director-General of the State’s Governorship Campaign Council.

Melaye, whose election as Senator for Kogi West, was recently annulled by the Election Petitions Tribunal, made his stand public through his verified Twitter handle.

The embattled Senator, in declining the offer, said he rejected his party’s offer as Director-General of the Kogi State Governorship Campaign Council because “when truth is a casualty, there is chaos.”

Recall that Melaye’s appointment as the Campaign Council DG, was announced by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan.
