COVID-19: Okowa orders partial lockdown in Delta

All public activities in Delta state are on partial lockdown due to the second wave of COVID-19.

Secretary to the State Government, Chiedu Ebie, made the announcement in a circular based on the advice of medical experts on the resurgence of the pandemic, which has a new variant.

According to the circular, all public gatherings, bars, restaurants, eateries, event centres, cinema houses and have been reduced to fifty persons, while night clubs have been closed until further notice.

It advised Delta residents to adhere to COVID-19 safety measures to reduce the spread of the virus.
