CAN urges governors to defend their territories

The Christian Association of Nigeria, Oyo State chapter, has called on all governors to rise up and defend lives and properties of citizens within their territories from rampaging bandits.

The association through its chairman in the state, Pastor Benjamin Akanmu, made the call against the backdrop of the current security situation in the country.

Akanmu also queried the statutory responsibilities of the Federal Government as well as the National Assembly regretting that a number of families have been torn apart through insurgency and violence, leaving thousands of single mothers struggling to provide for their families alone and many children without the love and care of their parents.
