APCON Condemns indecent mobile Advert

Written by on August 6, 2019

Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria has condemned the viral video of semi-nude ladies in a see-through mobile advertisement truck circulating on social media.

The group, in a release by its acting Registrar and Chief Executive, Ijedi Iyorha, said the advertisement was for a yet-to-be identified product or service, exposed and driven along Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos.

It described the advertisement as grossly indecent, disrespectful to Nigeria’s culture and prepared with no sense of social responsibility, saying it violated the code of ethics of advertising practice and depicted unwholesome sexual behaviors.
