The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has stated that the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, must offer a formal apology before any reconciliation can take place.
The minister, speaking through his media aide, Lere Olayinka, was reacting to the call by Niger Delta ex-militant leader, Tompolo, who called on him to forgive Fubara, his estranged political godson.
In his statement, Tompolo urged all parties to embrace peace, stressing the importance of unity and stability in the region. He called on Wike to put personal grievances aside for the collective interest of the Niger Delta and the state at large.
