Governor Oborevwori Defects to APC

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The announcement was made after a closed-door meeting held at the Government House in Asaba on Wednesday.
According to the Governor, the decision followed wide consultations with key political stakeholders and was made in the interest of Delta State’s long-term growth and development.
Governor Oborevwori, who was elected under the PDP in 2023, was warmly received by senior APC leaders in what analysts consider a major political move ahead of the 2027 elections.
